Isaacʼs story began in Dallas, TX 1999 as the youngest of four children. At age 2 his parents divorced and he moved with his Mom to San Antonio. Then came the years of struggle for their family to make ends meet and Isaac quickly grew familiar with “street life”.
Another move at age 11, this time to Austin. Now they would live with his Aunt and Uncle to be able to survive financially. Things began to improve slowly. They began attending church on a regular basis and the whole family became involved in making positive changes in their lives. But when Isaac was 13 years old his Mom decided to move back to the Dallas area. This was not something that Isaac or his siblings wanted to do. When their Mom went on to Dallas without them the separation was extremely painful for all the children, but especially for Isaac because he was the youngest.
One by one his three older siblings left for Dallas. Finally, Isaac alone remained in Austin living with his Aunt, Uncle and cousins. The desire to be with immediate family remained with Isaac but he had dreams of a better life than what he knew would await him on the streets of Dallas. Isaac has continued living with his Aunt and Uncle and attending church. graduating from high school and going on to learn the electrician trade. The future is bright for Isaac and we at Sing & Shout are so grateful to have been a part of His journey!
